Tai Chi & Qigong
Pan Hou Village, Ha Giang, Vietnam
12 days
The Program:
Over the week at the village, participants will enjoy regenerative Qigong followed by intensive Tai Chi practice. What ever your level, you will benifit with increased health, joy and self-awareness.
Daily in depth Tai Chi and Qigong classes with Benjamin Seow will be conducted in the mornings from 9.30 till lunch time. Advanced students can hone their skills whilst beginners may develop a basic feeling and understanding of the practice.
Self practice will be encouraged in the afternoons. You will also be at liberty to explore the tranquil and inspiring surrounds of Pan Hou village.
The retreat:
Pan Hou village is an exquisitely remote retreat in the heart of the bamboo forests of Ha Giang Province, a region which has remained untouched by the increasing popularity of tourism in Vietnam. The province is home to 23 different ethnic tribes, and its breathtaking scenery comprises verdant plateaus, rice terraces and energising streams. You will have the chance to visit the vibrant tribal markets, venture into the surrounding nature on short treks, and feast on local food. The Village was founded by Michel Galey, a French man, who fell in love with Vietnam 21 years ago, and has lived there ever since. His vision of a “lowimpact” type accommodation, nestled in rice paddies, has been brought to life by ethnic Tay people - inspired by local designs, and constructed using traditional techniques.

The rooms:
Very comfortable and clean rooms with a touch of tribal décor. All rooms have a separate bathroom and hot water is supplied by solar panels.
The meals:
A 3-course meal will be offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All types of diets will be catered for. Drinks will be ordered at your expense.
The herbal bath & massages:
An absolute must!! Medicinal plants are carefully collected from the higher altitudes, then steeped in hot water and poured into a rustic wooden tub. It is an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating experience that is also great for blood circulation, rheumatism and arthritis. Massages are also available upon request.
